Call for volunteers

  • essere parte essenziale del team durante il giorno dell’evento;
  • conoscere e stringere relazioni con tante persone come te, che vogliono contribuire alla realizzazione di questo evento;

  • Occuparti della registrazione e accoglienza dei partecipanti;
  • Distribuire swag e t-shirt;
  • Aiutare durante il pranzo e le pause caffè;
  • Aiutare gli speaker;
  • Occuparti della sala, o anche solo di portare in giro il microfono, durante i talk;
  • Dare informazioni, indirizzare e orientare speaker e visitatori;

Hey, dopo l’evento c’è l’After Party, non vorrai mica andare via subito?

Ti interessa aiutarci?

Vuoi entrare subito nello spirito giusto?

English

Volunteers are the backbone of any successful WordCamp. They will help make the event happen in the best possible way, while ensuring fun for everyone. Moreover, it is a great way to get involved in the WordPress community!

We are looking for enthusiastic, well organized and energetic people who love WordPress.

Would you like to apply?

Read the information below, and fill the form at the bottom of this page!

As a volunteer you will:

  • Be an essential part of the team during the event;
  • Meet a lot of people like you, who would like to contribute to this great event;
  • have the chance to talk with attendees and speakers coming from all over the Italy and abroad;

How do we need help?

We need volunteers during the event days. Expect to be exhausted and elated at the same time at the end of the WordCamp!

Volunteers tasks will be defined before the opening of the event. These are some of the activities we might ask you to run:

  • Registration and reception;
  • Swag and t-shirts distribution;
  • Help during lunch and coffee breaks;
  • Helping speakers;
  • Run around with the microphone during sessions;
  • Help with moving people and give information

Will you pay or will you get a refund?

WordCamps are made by volunteers, so as a rule in the world, expenses are not covered from the organization. If you want to get involved, you have to cover the costs of travel and accommodation in Turin.
If you are accepted as a volunteer you will have free access to the event and lunch/coffee breaks on both days.
Volunteering at WordCamp Turin is a unique way to help and support the event and the WordPress community.

What should I expect?

To have fun, first of all!

We let you know as soon as possible if you will be in our team.
We’d love to accept you all, but we can’t! So if we will say no to you, don’t be sad: there will be a lot of chances to contribute to WordPress in many other ways!

We will meet up on April 7th, the day before the conference, during the Contributor Day. On that day will meet the team, discuss the tasks assigned to everyone, explore the venue.

On the day of the WordCamp, April 8th, we work all together as a team.

Hey, after the event there will be the After Party, you don’t want to leave sooner than that, do you?

Are you interested in being a volunteer?

Fill the form above. We look forward to have you with us!

Want to join us now? The italian community is on Slack! That will also be our communication and coordination channel during the WordCamp.

All volunteers will get a free ticket to the WordCamp, so please do not buy a ticket if you apply!

In case you will not be selected, but you still want to come (of course you do!) don’t worry, we’ll have a batch of tickets reserved for sale, after deciding volunteers.

Informations are collected with the sole aim of maintaining a more effective communication between the organizers of WordCamp Torino 2016 and volunteers.
